About

Ch. Charan singh Ganga Barrage Narora is Constructed at Ganga River. It’s Construction was completed in 1967. There are 7 nos. under sluice gates of size 15.24 m x 4.75m and 54 nos. other bay gates size 12.20Mx3.23M in this Barrage. Lower Ganga Canal and Parallel Lower Ganga Canal are constructed at right UP Stream side. The both canal are operated through this Barrage for irrigation purpose. National Atomic Power Plant, Narora is also fed by water through.
